Palau has strong community links with pride and honor among our islands. Respect towards all elders and leaders is a vital part of the cultural system. We have a mixed culture with different influences from around the world and are one of the most highly urbanized and modernized islands in Micronesia.
Our Seventh-day Adventist Elementary School opened its doors in 1953 in the main city of Koror. Our Seventh-day Adventist Mission Academy was established 10 years later in 1963 in a more quiet rural setting on Babeldaob.
The elementary school is to the south on Koror island and is Kindergarten through 8th grade with 266 students.
