Pohnpei is the largest, highest and most populous single island in the Federated States of Micronesia. It has an area of 129 square miles, with a highest point of 2,566 feet and over 34,000 people on island. The islanders of Pohnpei have a reputation as being the most welcoming of outsiders.
It is also one of the wettest places on Earth with annual recorded rainfall exceeding 300 inches each year in certain mountainous locations.
